On a milk mission

I'm on a milk bottle mission this week. You'll see why next week. Let's just say this mission is anything but swift (or cheap!). With a price tag of nearly $5 for a quart of milk and a CA redemption value of an additional $1.25, this non-milk drinker has been practically "pouring money down the drain". Fortunately I already had quite a collection- just not quite large enough to fulfill my vision! *And yes, I realize I could have gotten these at a flea market for about a quarter a piece, but I don't have the pleasure of free time to hang out at flea markets these days!

Easter is around the corner

And of course Martha is there to help you get prepared! Although I am not quite sure what this "workshop" entails, I signed up anyway! I love using Easter as an opportunity to welcome Spring. With it coming so early this year, I certainly hope the weather will hold for the festivities. With a wedding, a shower, a birthday, and a trunk show in Florida all next month, I am going to need all the inspiration I can get to make the Easter table something memorable.

Say it in a letter (well sort of)

Lost seems to be the art of the hand written letter or invitation. These days it is just so simple to quickly send an email or a text when we have something to say. Formal correspondence may soon be only a distant memory. But there is a solution (OK, well sort of). Somewhere between the ease and convenience of the virtual world and the formailty and elloquence of the hand written world lies The Bureau of Communictaion (found via How About Orange). Just try it. You'll love it. I would send one of these quasi-formal correspondences to each and everyone of you if I could. But I can't. So consider this a personally addressed letter to you, and only you. **No, I DO NOT believe this is in any way acceptable in lieu of a formal wedding invitation, but it most definitely would be a fun alternative to an engagement announcement or party.

The Knot Real Wedding Awards

What was your favorite wedding of 2007? The Knot kicks off its first Real Wedding Awards today, allowing both couples and wedding professionals to enter and vote on their favorite events of the past year. So maybe I am biased, but I simply had to enter Erin and Michael's wedding. If you loved it as much as I did, you can vote for it here. Good luck to you! (and to me!)

Oohh la la

The oh so talented photographer Leigh Miller and accessories designer extraordinaire Erin Cole and I teamed up last week for a photo shoot for an upcoming ad campaign. The results are amazing (this is only a tiny sampling of our afternoon, see more on Leigh's site). Now the most difficult part begins- which to choose! Tell me, which would you choose to go to print?

Expecting

Just finished addressing labels for an upcoming baby shower. The overall design is top secret so this is the only snippet I can provide. Sorry!

Kate Spade for Valentine's Day

I think it would make me happy to open up any one of these for Valentine's Day. I bet it would make a bridesmaid happy, as well.

LOVE these Valentines

I have always adored very simple Valentine's Day cards. Make them letterpressed and I'm sold! I love these designs Two Piglets, a small local company here in Southern California.

Noteworthy

I love these letterpressed notes from Cotton Idea Studio. Why shouldn't your grocery list be beautiful, too?
